When you come upon a martyr fighting against a monster of corruption, you should embrace that scene and cherish it. Though the martyr in question may have personality failings, and may not even qualify as a "good" person, you should still embrace the scene.
For courage, my friends, is a long lost trait to democratic society. People hide behind the mass of their numbers, and they ROT! Integrity, too, has been long forgotten in its grave where they have buried it. For why be the pillars and the sturdiness, while others are as fluid as SLIME!
But the reaction of this slumping rock is simply ten times the magnitude of repulsive! For not only do they attempt to slander it as "The Sound of the Enemy", they even try to rub coward-ness into its image.
Of course one can argue that it is the liberty of oneself to question the actions of others. But one must ask oneself, when executing such liberty, are you truly doing so for the values that you believe in? Or are you merely trying to gain a name and buck from carving your fame out of one noble-persons' carcass? Are your suspicions based on solid grounds, or are you just envious that another person stood up and was praised as a hero when you were acting like a wimp?
I believe it was Jefferson who once said, "The tree of liberty should be refreshed from time to time, by the blood of patriots and tyrants." But I say unto you, "The tree of liberty should be refreshed from time to time, by the blood of MARTYRS and tyrants." For isn't it the essence and true beauty of liberty to be free of everything, and thus defying even the fundamental nature of nation? It is only because of our individual weaknesses that we need to shelter under the huge wing of the monster nation, and thus we yield to it.
Human, all too human, but that is something we will simply have to overcome.
